Fruity ExpressThis alternative tuck shop has been run by Knightswood Primary School’s Mini Health Steering Group (with a little adult help from us and the Knightswood Elderly Forum!) since late 2008. The idea, dreamt up by children from primaries 5 and 6, has proved to be an amazing success, with the ‘Express’ producing and selling up to 150 portions of prepared fruit to their fellow pupils as an alternative to less healthy snacks.
G15 Youth ProjectThe G15 Youth Project is an information/advice service which helps young people aged 12-25 living in Drumchapel. It works with over 400 young people each year to help combat issues such as unemployment, vandalism, anti-scoial behaviour, gang fighting, drug/alcohol addictions, homelessness, territorialism and much more.
Green GymThe Green Gym is about healthy people and healthy places where volunteers meet up once a week - on Wednesday's between 11am-2pm - for FREE to work together on improving local green spaces around West Glasgow.
