This alternative tuck shop has been run by Knightswood Primary School’s Mini Health Steering Group (with a little adult help from us and the Knightswood Elderly Forum!) since late 2008. The idea, dreamt up by children from primaries 5 and 6, has proved to be an amazing success, with the ‘Express’ producing and selling up to 150 portions of prepared fruit to their fellow pupils as an alternative to less healthy snacks.
G15 Youth Project
The G15 Youth Project is an information/advice service which helps young people aged 12-25 living in Drumchapel. It works with over 400 young people each year to help combat issues such as unemployment, vandalism, anti-scoial behaviour, gang fighting, drug/alcohol addictions, homelessness, territorialism and much more.
Green Gym
The Green Gym is about healthy people and healthy places where volunteers meet up once a week - on Wednesday's between 11am-2pm - for FREE to work together on improving local green spaces around West Glasgow.

Yoker Resource Centre whose registered office is at 10 Kelso Place, Yoker, Glasgow, G13 0LL is a community managed community facility which provides a range of services and supports to people living in the Yoker and surrounding areas.
I started with the Green Gym in August 2009 and did the first 20 week programme. I liked meeting people and being involved in the community. I really enjoyed being in the woodland and the schools projects, although the church project seemed to go on forever! I feel more confident and much less stressed.
